8 living lessons

HELLO DEAR FRIENDS. Today I am going to talk about 8 important living lessons you need to learn as 8th graders.

• KNOW HOW TO MAKE FRIENDS: It's is important that you have 2 to 3 bestest friends; you can share little secrets.
• ENJOY THE MOMENT BEING THE LEADER IN MIDDLE SCHOOL: You should really enjoy being the biggest kids on middle school campus because you will be the youngest when you get to high school.
• LEARN HOW TO BE A LEADER: It is also important for you to know how to be a leader, you shouldn't be afraid of the little kids.
• KNOW HOW TO TAKE BREAKS: As 8th graders, school work is tiring and stressing, you need to take little break to rest your brain.
• BE NICE TO PEOPLE: You need to be nice to little kids because you don't want to scare them.
• SMILE A LOT: Smiling makes people happy.
• FREE HUGS TO PEOPLE: Hug your friends when they need one.
• HAVE GOOD NIGHT SLEEP: You need to sleep well because then you have the motion to work more!!

"Fire in the Bush" by James Warwick

     Jerry, a mom of a girl and a boy, is living in a forest in Australia. It is dry and hot; unfortunately, a big fire is coming. Mary, Jerry's helper has three kids, lives with Jerry's family. They use all they can to help save their home and animals.

       Jerry transforms to a strong woman and knows how to protect her family. Her husband was out for some business events. She has no other choices. There's no time for her to wait until her husband is back. She decides to fight with the devils on her own and she makes it. The force of love helps her transforms. She loves her family deeply; she wants to rescue her animals; she wants to save her home. There are some events that have transformed me. One of them is, I came to the US. There is a lot of different things between here and the country I came from. I have learned a lot from here and have remembered important things. Now, I know cultures of two countries. I can speak Chinese, English, and a little Latin. I have grown up a lot.
                                      

The Biggest Innovation

       Hello blog fellow, I am here to talk about what I think is the biggest innovation. I think the biggest innovation is the internet. We didn't have skype, snapchat, and so on. Nearly 75% people in the world now have a phone. The internet has changed us a lot. We can search, talk, and a lot of benefits. I can FaceTime and text my friends when I am not with them. Anyways internet has really changed our lives and it's a good thing

Relationship Between My Parents and I

           Hello blog readers, today I am talking about the relationship between my parents and me. The relationship between Elie Wiesel and his father while in the camps is quite profound as it has transformed from one of distance to one of closeness. My parents and I have lots of similar things. My dad and I are both okay at art, my mom and I are both very thoughtful. We are all active, funny, and cool. Of course, there are some different ways and traits between them and me. I am more Americanized because I go to school here. They are still haveing the old Chinese traditional cultural thoughts. I am more like a "mix" between Chinese and American. I can switch between being a Chinese girl and an American girl.
            The relationship between my dad and I has evolved over years. When I was little, my dad and I were really close. While I am growing up, we kind of isn't that "close" because of his work, my school, and a lot of reasons. He has work in China, I have school in America. We still love each other deeply, but just not as close. I have learned a lot by observing my parents and the adults around me. I need to understand them more, being an adult isn't as easy as I assume. They teach me truths about life and how important to study hard now and go to a good college. My mom teaches me how to cook Chinese food. My dad teaches me how to fix some easy things in life. These are all important to me and I will treasure forever.

                                 

3 Biggest Pressing Issues Facing Us Today

Hey guys,
      Guess what? Today I am talking about the three biggest pressing issue we are facing today.
      The biggest issue I think is the education reform. Many children in the world now don't have the ability to go to schools because they're poor, forced to work to help their families, or in some cases if you are a girl you can't go to school.
      The second biggest issue I think we are facing today is environmental protection. In many ways, we are destroying our own planet by destroying habitats for plants and animals, polluting, and wastefulness of materials. One way we can protect our earth is to use renewable energy sources such as solar power and wind power. We also need to do a much better job of recycling. Start protecting our home now!
      The next biggest issue would be the farming monopolies. The really big farms put family farmers out of business because they can't compete against them. For example, it's difficult for small organic farmers to compete against huge companies like Monsanto because it cost a lot more for the small farmers to create their products than it does for the big companies who will use chemicals and maybe even genetically engineered plants.
      So people, if we want to solve these BIG issues, we need to start today.

     Today I am here to talk about my point of view to change the world. I think that people should be protecting our own planet, we should reduce the amount of wars in the world. I hope people are peaceful and fine, no wars no kills. We should invest new technology together, but not try to steal each other's ideas. Save the world from you and me.

“The Fog Horn” by Ray Bradbury

        I was in a lighthouse. It’s far from the land and in the cold, deep ocean.The last night of my journey, McDunn came. He’s subbing for me, it’s finally my turn to go back to the land.  He said this is a lonely job, but we are both getting used to it, the only few things that we can talk to are an ocean, ships, and ourselves. I was glad he came and, fortunately, he’s a good talker, we had a lot of things to talk. He said let me wait for a few more days, and there will be some interesting thing will come. We waited for the Fog Horn to come. McDunn said it comes every year.
       On the other day, when we were waiting for it to come. McDunn started to talk about the story between the Fog Horn and him. Right after he told me the story, the Fog Horn came. McDunn felt bad for him because he’s such a lonely guy, he said the Fog Horn’s probably the last that kind of monster in this world. Every year, he swims all the way from the deepest of the deep to the lighthouse. He wanted someone to talk to. McDunn and I need people to talk with too. We’re lucky, at least, we can talk to each other for now. The Fog Horn was angry, he needed someone or some place to relax, unfortunately, he decided to crash our lighthouse. After the monster did that, he cried and gasped. The tower was gone.
      I didn’t scare about the Fog Horn when he did that, just because we’re similar. I left after the lighthouse got crashed. Now I have a warm, little family. I have someone to love. The new lighthouse was done in November, when I went back McDunn was still there. He said the monster never came back. It’s back to the deepest Deeps. The Fog Horn is waiting for another million years.

Let's Find an End to this War

Hey, my dear blog fellows. Today I am going to write a letter to Jefferson Davis as Abraham Lincoln.

Dear Mr. Jefferson Davis,

        Hello, this is Abraham Lincoln, the president of current United States. Let's face the truth, Civil War has taken so many people's lives. This is a sad and bloody war. It is breaking more and more families. As leader of Union army, I am trying to keep all the states as one big family and stop the war. You on the other hand as leader of the Confederate States of America are working against the best interests of the country.
       We definitely need some good ideas to stop or slow down the war, which is hurting everyone. Although it's been a while from the bloodiest day in the war at Antietam, I still feel like, it just happened. That day cost the South and North lost 22,717 soldiers. Nobody wants it to happen again in the future. We should try to negotiate. If you agree with me, please write a letter to me and we will discuss it afterwards.

LA Field Trip

What does being a witness mean to me?
It's such a important and serious day.
Witness is a person sees or in the place an event's happening.
I'm not sure if I'd like to be a witness, because I don't like people arguing. I just wanna be a normal person.
Was I transformed by my experience in Los Angeles?
I will say yes. It changed my point of view of Japanese people and I will treasure my friends and my  friends more from now on.

The Bottle Imp

        Keawe in the short story " The Bottle Imp" by Robert Louis Stevenson is faced with making two important decisions... One of the decisions is if he wants to keep the bottles for a wealthy life. The other one is or he wants to have a healthy life.
        Keawe is a poor man before he buys the bottle from that wealthy man. After he buys the bottle he has a huge and nice house on the island, he sells the bottle to one of his best friends. After ten years or so, he and his wife Kokua get the bottle back for a really cheap price. They have an idea to keep them healthy and also rich. They buy the bottle from each other back and forth for a while. Anyways they have a good ending. I had to make a decision two years ago, and it might change my life. When I was in six grade, my mom asked me if I want to go to America for better education or stay in China. I thought about that decision for couple months and decided to come to here. I think I did a nice decision.
                               
                                        

Time Capsule

Hey guys, today I am going to talk about my time capsule. If I got to make my own time capsule and I can only put 4 things in there, I am going to put these:

1) I will put my family picture in, I love my family, I don't know what can I do without them.

2) The second thing is about my heritage, which I'm going to leave my gold earrings there, when I was little my grandma gave them to me.

3) For accomplishment, I will put my golf medal in, because I love golf.

4) I will put a photo album in, it has all my friends pictures and people I love's pictures, because of them I have a beautiful life.

The container is a silver made jar my dad brought from Europe ten years ago.
